Meet the Resident Artists of WorldFaze 2024

WorldFaze welcomes Ghanaian artists Kingsley Sedem Dzade and Nana Adwoa Fremah Amoabeng as they delve into their new artistic journeys during their residency.

After a successful exhibition in August 2023, WorldFaze has admitted the two artists in residency for the year 2024.

Kingsley Sedem Dzade (b.1989) is a Ghanaian contemporary realist artist based in Accra. Born in Mafi-Adidome, Volta region, he graduated from the Takoradi Technical University after completing a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Commercial Art (Painting Option) in 2014.
He specializes in figurative portraiture and mannerism, drawing inspiration from his connection with family, friends, and the wider community. With his primary medium being acrylic and oil, Kingsley’s realist paintings captivate audiences through his uncanny ability to depict emotions in his work employing skillful brush strokes that bring his subjects and muses to life.

Nana Adwoa Fremah Amoabeng (b.1994) is a Ghanaian contemporary abstract artist based in Accra, and a graduate of Ghanatta College of Art and Design, where she earned certificates in Graphic Design and Creative Art (2015).
Her practice highlights on social change, architectural landscape, and interior structures to inspire and evoke imagination. With her use of pastels, collages, and acrylics on canvas, she explores the fascination and intricacies of her conceptual investigations. Her compositions serve as a mirror to her own experiences, and futuristic alternate realities, inviting viewers into a realm of introspection.

Worldfaze is expected to hold a solo exhibition for the two artists in residence in August 2024.
