Worldfaze Art Practice Organises Workshop For Students From The Demonstration School For The Deaf, Mampong-Akuapem.
As part of our activities to reach out and support various groups and organizations, Worldfaze Art Practice organized a painting workshop for some students from the Demonstration School For The Deaf, located in Mampong-Akuapem. The workshop was led by our former artists in residence Jepthah Aikins Benstil-Kobiah and Daniel Tetteh Nartey while assisted by our current artists in residence Kingsley Sedem Dzade and Nana Adwoa Fremah Amoabeng. The students were taken through the process of creating an art piece; from the priming of canvas, mixing of paints, sketching, and the art of painting. The students took turns to use the paintbrush on the canvas to help them understand the process. Despite their challenge to hear and speak, they made use of their sights and minds to bring their creativity to life. The founder of Worldfaze Art Practice, Mr. Kwesi Botchway used the opportunity to donate some medical supplies to the Head of Department from the school.
